Heather Maietta, Ed.D., CMCS

Serving over 20 years as a Career Professional, Heather Maietta is a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), an NCDA Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS), a Board-Certified Coach (BCC), and a qualified MBTI & Strong Interest Inventory Practitioner. She is the owner of Career In Progress, a global private practice where she specializes in developing career professionals in coaching mastery and helping solopreneur coaches grow their independent coaching practice.
Heather holds a Doctorate of Higher Education Leadership from Central Michigan University, specializing in career theory and practice. Heather completed the NCDA Leadership Academy in 2019 and was part of the NCDA Credentialing Pilot Program. She currently serves on the National Career Development Association Credentialing Commission and is a Facilitating Career Developments Instructor. Heather is a full professor in the Doctor of Educational Leadership program at Regis College, and previous VP of Career Development for Merrimack and Nichols Colleges. She has presented and published widely on topics related to adult learners' career decision making, workforce trends, and career development of college students, including the 2023 NCDA Monograph: Career Coaching Fundamentals. She was recently awarded the Distinguished Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award by her alma mater for her contributions to the field of career services.
